I sat on a panel recently with some really smart people talking about future trends in communication. Artificial intelligence, new channels, better use of Teams and texting, among others. All good ideas.
When it was my turn, I went retro. My future trend was (drum roll, please): Better Writing.
All the new tools and techniques are valuable and worth your attention. But in the crowded, convoluted world we work in, better storytelling ― in any format or channel ― should be communicators’ focus in 2025.
